From a friend...

"I am average height and one of my best friends is a little person, I have gotten so accustomed to her being a little person that on a day to day basis I actually forget that she is "different". When I look at her I just see my friend, someone who is caring, funny, smart, and fun to be with. I am only reminded that she is a little person when I catch someone staring at her. This angers and hurts me immensely, I can only imagine how that makes her feel, no one likes to be stared and pointed at, or to feel like they are on display. My advice to the world is, get to know someone for who they are, if you pass up an opportunity to talk or meet someone because of what they look like you may just be passing up an opportunity to meet a really awesome person!"
