Q: Is it all right to take a knee or squat while talking to a person with dwarfism?

A: The answer to this question varies from person to person. Some people prefer to have average sized people stand, while others find it more comfortable to see eye to eye during a conversation. Most would see it as a kind gesture that someone would take a knee to be eye level with them. Sometimes sitting in a chair while speaking to a person with dwarfism will bring you closer to eye level. Like most things you are unsure of, it is probably best to ask what one prefers rather than for both people to feel uncomfortable.
